the project Respiração, curator Marcio Doctors
In
Magic Circle fourteen artworks from Eva Klabin Foundation - a
collector's house transformed into a museum - "talk" to the visitor.
Selected paintings, objects, sculptures, including the owner's shoes,
disposed at specfic points of the house, in a visitation circuit
previously established, interact with an imagined ghost-spectator
through acoustic-luminous devices that set off humorous speeches about
their own 'memory' or the lack of it. The 27 minutes video recreates the
site-specific project Rennó did in 2014 in the house where Eva Klabin
(1903-1991) lived in Rio de Janeiro with more than two thousand pieces,
covering almost 50 centuries, from ancient Egypt to Impressionism.
